This is my Google Review about these 2 companies. They're the WORST

We should've looked at their Google Review BEFORE contacting them. Mom's had bad experiences with caregivers. One even stole from her. The police got involved. So mom got hooked up with Consumer Direct Colorado. Alaina, the woman working with mom STRONGLY suggested she use PASCO (Personal Assistance Services of Colorado) for her financial services.

Mom's disabled. She's sustained multiple head injuries (abuse-related). She can't look up/down and when she looks to the left she sees double. Her vision is messed up. Well, that didn't matter to Alaina. Mom was required to print out and read a 279-page manual about what Alaina's company does. Mom was given a test, an actual test like you take in school. She'd be required to take it twice a year. She even had to know SPECIFIC dates THEY FILE THEIR FORMS! IT WAS ON THE TEST!

Its been MONTHS since mom had to read the manual and her vision has been so messed up as a result of the strain on her eyes.

Why does mom have to know MINUTE details on how THEY do their job! And then she was required to know the same MINUTE details on how PASCO did their job, dates they needed to file state forms, etc

Mom discussed this all with a Supervisor at Rocky Mountain Human Services. That Supervisor said, “I've NEVER heard of Consumer Direct Colorado doing home visits or giving tests. She thought EVERYTHING was done online. Her giving ANOTHER person her address just puts mom at greater risk with every person that has it. Alaina and PASCO knew this

Then last minute Alaina told mom she needed 2 caregivers. Mom is a participant with Click here to read ACP (Address Confidentiality Program). They provide an address for those being harassed or stalked. Mom's friends don't even know where she lives and she wasn't about to reach out to one of those friends to ask for help. The man, his friends and family that have been harassing and stalking her off-and-on for 22 years have been known to reach out to me and some of mom's other friends to try to locate her. He even put a GPS tracker on her car in 2003

Alaina BRAGGED about PASCO and how they'd call their clients and wouldn't be having to write back and forth. WRONG! (Come to fine out their websites are linked together) Mom tried to fill out the required forms online. She could never get the signature page to work. I even tried 4 times to get it to work and I'm a Network Engineer

PASCO was contacted about sending a signature page and they said “We'll get it out right away.” WRONG! Because mom's with the ACP it takes 2-3 weeks for her to receive any mail they receive and they forward to mom. By the 3-week mark PASCO hadn't even mailed the form and then they sent a BUNCH more pages for her to read

Mom decided not to use their services, mainly over what their reading requirements were and how it messed up her already bad vision for months

Alaina's reply was “I’m sorry that CDASS is not the right fit for you and wish you all the best”

No apology or acknowledgement of how all the reading messed up her vision more.

As for PASCO's reply to mom's cancelling services. Well, that consisted of NOTHING!

If anyone from Consumer Direct or PASCO wants to reply, don't bother. I've stated my opinion and I won't change it

Alaina is also VERY INTO RULES AND REGULATIONS. Having Rules and Regulations aren't bad, but when they're SOOOO focused on them where is the kind, human element to life?

As a sidenote of those using caregivers, not family-related, “People might be able to pass a background check, but background checks don't cover bad behavior unless they've broken the law”

I'd give them a lower rating than one, but it wouldn't let me
